Optional Chatling AI chat

The AI chat connects to Chatling only after you choose “Load AI chat” in the chat notice. Chatling describes its current widget cookies as essential functional cookies: chtl_cus stores a random visitor identifier for up to 365 days; chtl_opened, chtl_aghmc and chtl_chats_v2 remember widget or conversation state for up to 30 days. These are cookie lifetimes, not message-deletion periods. Chatling support says its widget includes no advertising or third-party analytics.

The website wrapper does not store your choice to load the chat. You can block or delete Chatling cookies in your browser, although this may affect conversation continuity. Other embedded services remain subject to the website’s existing Cookie Settings. Please do not enter medical information or other sensitive personal information. See our privacy notice for processing and monthly manual deletion, and Chatling’s cookie policy for its cookie details.

Before you use the AI chat

This assistant uses Chatling to answer questions about information on this website. AI answers can be mistaken.

If you load the chat, your browser connects to Chatling. Messages are saved and can be reviewed by the website operator. Chatling and its service providers process chat data, including outside the UK.

Please do not enter medical information or other sensitive personal information. Keep questions general and do not give your name, email address, telephone number or identifying details about anyone else.

Conversations are manually deleted each month. Chatling may take up to five days to purge deleted conversations from its live systems; temporary backup copies and AI-provider logs have separate retention periods. Functional cookies may last up to 365 days for the random visitor identifier and 30 days for chat state.
